POELLATH advises VTC on acquisition of Hürner Luft- und Umwelttechnik GmbH
Munich-based private equity firm VTC has acquired Hürner Luft- und Umwelttechnik GmbH (“HLU”), a leading manufacturer of plastic fans and system provider of supply and exhaust air systems and related equipment with a focus on industrial processed air. As part of the transaction, CEO Dr. Ralph-Dieter Schrey has acquired a stake in the acquisition company. With its sustainable, entrepreneurial approach, VTC will support the company in its ongoing growth. Therefore, additional investments are planned, including in internationalization, product range expansion and additional production capacity. Headquartered in Mücke-Atzenhain (near Giessen), HLU’s business primarily consists of product business (plastic fans), system business (supply and exhaust air systems, air scrubbers, heat exchangers, etc.) and service and maintenance business. HLU’s customer base comprises companies in the semiconductor, electroplating, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as laboratories and the food and beverage industry. The company employs more than 180 people and, in addition to three locations in Germany, has three subsidiaries in China, Singapore and Malaysia, as well as partners in Europe and overseas.
