Practice
More than twenty years ago, Andreas was the first lawyer at POELLATH to specialize exclusively in tax, legal and strategic advice to large private clients. Since then, together with his partners and colleagues, he led POELLATH to the top of the market in the fields of succession, private clients and foundations. Andreas is considered a pioneer of family office advisory work in Germany.
Over the years, he advised on several hundred asset and corporate successions, managed over a hundred foundation projects and assisted several dozen single family offices with structuring. In the last decade, entrepreneurs have increasingly asked him to advise and mediate in some of the most significant foundation and shareholder disputes.
In addition to his classical legal practice, Andreas holds a large number of positions on supervisory and advisory boards of family businesses and family offices, acts as executor for entrepreneurial assets and serves on the board of directors and trustees of charitable foundations. At Humboldt University, he teaches international and corporate tax law. In addition to his profession, Andreas is passionate about rowing and tennis.
