New counsel: P+P continues to strengthen its corporate and corporate litigation practice with an attorney from Hengeler
P+P Pöllath + Partners continues to expand: Alexander Ego joined the firm’s corporate practice as counsel in the Munich office at the beginning of August. After six years in Hengeler Mueller’s Munich office, Ego has moved to P+P and will concentrate on the practice areas corporate and capital markets law, as well as commercial and corporate law litigation and arbitration.
Alexander Ego began his law career in 2006 at the Stuttgart boutique firm Walter Sigle Rechtsanwälte and has worked in corporate/M&A with Hengeler Mueller in Munich since 2008; he was a Senior Associate with Hengeler since Spring 2010. During this time, in 2012, he worked for a year at the New York firm Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP. Due to these previous positions, Ego has long-term experience in the practice areas of corporate law, capital markets law, M&A and contentious legal proceedings. At Hengeler Mueller, he recently advised MAN SE on the conclusion of a domination and profit and loss transfer agreement with VW (2013), Allianz Capital Partners on the sale of a 50% participation in Scandlines to 3i (2013), KKR on the public purchase offer to the preference share shareholders of WMF AG (2014); he has also advised clients regarding structural measures related to transformation law and D&O liability issues. In addition, Alexander Ego is an expert in international and European corporate law and the author of the related chapter on European freedom of establishment and free movement of capital in the Munich commentary on the German Stock Corporation Act.
