P+P advises Holzmann Medien on acquisition of Freizeit-Verlag Landsberg

Holzmann Medien GmbH & Co.KG ("Holzmann Medien"), headquartered in Bad Wörishofen, acquired Freizeit-Verlag Landsberg GmbH ("Freizeit-Verlag") from the previous owner and investor EPP Professional Publishing Group.

Freizeit Verlag primarily publishes media products in the hotel industry, including the magazine "Top hotel", which is considered the market leader for the hotel industry in Germany according to the number of subscriptions and editions sold (IVW 2/2017). The team of Top hotel magazine also organizes various awards that are well-known in the industry, such as the "Top hotel Star Award", "Top hotel Opening" or "Wellness Aphrodite". In addition, Freizeit-Verlag publishes trade compendia such as "KIT Küchenplanung", "LUX Luxushotelmarkt in Deutschland" oder "SPA" for the wellness sector. A series of hotel guides complements the portfolio; these are consolidated under the "Mein Tophotel" brand.

Holzmann Medien is a family company with strong print and online brands, most of which have grown over the course of decades. The company is one of the 50 largest business and specialty publishers in Germany.
