P+P advises EQT Infrastructure and Charleston on acquisition of Christophorus Group
In North Rhine-Westphalia, the Christophorus Group operates six inpatient residential and nursing care facilities with a total of 711 beds, 29 residential units, as well as two outpatient facilities and one intensive care facility. The Christophorus Group is an established and well-known provider in eastern North Rhine-Westphalia with facilities in Gladbeck, Welver, Paderborn, Gütersloh and two facilities in Sauerland.
Charleston is a portfolio company owned by EQT. P+P assisted EQT and Charleston from the start of their successful buy-and-build strategy and also provided legal advice on the acquisitions of the BayernStift Group, the proSenium Group and various other transactions.
With this acquisition, Charleston expands its national presence and increases the number of residential and nursing facilities to 44 with approx. 3,700 beds. The company is one of the fastest growing companies in the nursing care sector. P+P advised on the acquisition with the following team:
