POELLATH advises UHNWI with company shareholdings, trusts and foundations on exit taxation

POELLATH provided legal and tax advice to UHNWI on relocating to Germany, leaving Germany and relocating again.

The advice focussed on the tax treatment and structuring of highly complex trust and foundation structures, including the ongoing declaration to the German tax authorities. Additionally, issues of exit taxation and of international estate taxation had to be clarified, with cross-border ties to the US, Liechtenstein and the Netherlands.
