The merger gives Kiteworks direct access to ownCloud’s rapidly growing European customer base, which focuses on the DACH market and covers numerous industries. In turn, ownCloud’s customers and partners can now access Kiteworks’ advanced security and compliance features.
ownCloud develops and distributes open-source software for content collaboration that enables teams to seamlessly share and edit files regardless of device or location. According to the company, more than 200 million users worldwide use ownCloud as an alternative to public clouds. The company was founded in 2010 and is based in Nuremberg.
