POELLATH advises the sellers on DBAG’s investment in ProMik Programmiersysteme für die Mikroelektronik GmbH
Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (“DBAG”) has acquired a majority stake in ProMik Programmiersysteme für die Mikroelektronik GmbH (“ProMik”), a leading global provider of programming and testing solutions in the field of electronics manufacturing. A fund advised by DBAG will acquire the majority of the shares from ProMik’s founding family, who will retain a stake in the company as minority shareholders by way of a re-investment.
Alexander Rosenberger and Jens Rosenberger, members of the founding family, will remain with the company as CTO and CMO, respectively.
Founded in 1995 and based in Nuremberg, ProMik develops sophisticated, software-driven solutions for electronics series production. The broad range of applications includes the mobility sector, such as autonomous driving and energy management of battery-powered electric vehicles, as well as consumer goods, e-bikes and white goods. Industrial applications and solutions for the production facilities of electronic assembly manufacturers, used to optimize testing and programming processes, complete the company’s profile.
DBAG is one of the most renowned private equity companies in Germany, investing primarily in medium-sized companies in the DACH region. The sector focus is on manufacturing companies, industrial service providers and IndustryTech companies, as well as companies in the broadband telecommunications, IT services, software and healthcare sectors.
