POELLATH advises on the acquisition of three wind farms in France
A fund advised by EB Sustainable Investment Management GmbH (“EB-SIM”), one of the leading asset managers for sustainable investments, has acquired a portfolio of three operating wind farms in France with a total capacity of 72 megawatts. The seller is Volkswind GmbH (“Volkswind”), a German subsidiary of the Swiss energy company Axpo.
The wind farms, located in the Centre-Val de Loire, Hauts-de-France and Nouvelle-Aquitaine regions, are equipped with Nordex and Vestas turbines and comprise a total of 21 state-of-the-art wind turbines, which were already commissioned. Volkswind will assume the technical and commercial management of the portfolio after the sale. EB-SIM will act as advisor to the fund and support it in managing the plant after the transaction is completed. The parties have agreed not to disclose the sale price. The closing of the transaction is still subject to customary conditions. Closing is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2024.
