At POELLATH we are also entrepreneurs - the firm encourages us to develop ourselves, supports and promotes
Dr. Katharina Hemmen, LL.M., Partner, Private Clients, Frankfurt aM
I joined POELLATH in early 2012 as my first job after my second exam - and still is. There was no reason for me to look for other options, because the lawyers at POELLATH are encouraged to think and act entrepreneurially from the very beginning. This way of working suits me and that I like here.
Personal initiative in presenting POELLATH to the outside world is appreciated and supported by the firm. Since my early years in this profession, I have been a frequent speaker at international conferences, such as the International Bar Association (IBA), the Association of International Young Lawyers (AIJA) and Legal Week. A few years ago, I organized an IBA/AIJA conference in Berlin together with a fellow lawyer for about 150 participants - a success with and for POELLATH.
In my field of work “Private Clients” the highly specialized group of international advisors is very close. You get to know your international colleagues if you regularly attend the relevant events, represent the firm well and exchange experiences. This has enabled me to help build up an international network for our team over the years, which we use in both inbound and outbound: We get instructed with matters that have a connection to Germany and at the same time we need our network for our clients when they need advice on foreign law.
A nice secondary benefit is that the Private Clients conferences are usually held in picturesque locations that are definitely worth a visit.
