P+P again advises IDnow founders on funding round

The Munich-based FinTech company IDnow (www.idnow.io) has concluded a new funding round in the amount of US$ 40 million. The American private equity investor Corsair Capital provided the growth capital.

IDnow provides an Identity Verification-as-a-Service platform which allows one to simply, quickly and securely verify the identity of billions of people worldwide. Companies can thereby carry out customer interactions online with high security standards. Their 250+ customers include companies such as BNP Paribas, solarisBank and N26. Felix Haas, Armin Bauer, Sebastian Bärhold and Dennis von Ferenczy founded the company in 2014.

Corsair Capital is one of the leading global investors in the growing finance and business services sector with a focus on technology and financial services.

P+P partner Christian Tönies (partner, lead, M&A/venture capital, Munich/Berlin) advised the founders of IDnow on legal matters related to the new funding round.

P+P advised IDnow in May 2018 on the previous funding round and has worked with the founders for many years.
