P+P advises Odewald & Compagnie with regard to management participation on the sale of d&b audiotechnik
The French private equity investor Ardian purchased the Swabian sound specialists d&b audiotechnik from German private equity investor Odewald & Compagnie, Belgian co-investor Cobepa and individual executives of d&b audiotechnik. Odewald and Compagnie acquired d&b audiotechnik in 2011 from finance investor AFINUM.
The transaction is still subject to approval by the relevant antitrust authorities.
d&b audiotechnik, headquartered in Backnang in the Swabian region of Germany, was founded in 1981. The company is one of the world's leading suppliers of professional audio technology in the premium segment. d&b audiotechnik develops and produces high-quality sound systems for both mobile and permanently installed applications. The spectrum of venues ranges from large stadiums, concert halls, theaters and opera houses to convention centers and cruise ships.
