P+P advises NKD management on sale to TDR Capital

The British financial investor OpCapita LLP ("OpCapita") has sold the textile discounter NKD to investment funds managed by TDR Capital LLP ("TDR Capital"). P+P advised the management of NKD on the transaction.

NKD Group is headquartered in Bindlach near Bayreuth and is one of the leading value retailers and local providers of textile retail sales in Central Europe. The textile discounter NKD has almost 1,800 branches and offers a wide range of seasonal fashion, home textiles and accessories. NKD employs approximately 8,000 people and realized turnover of approximately EUR 700 million in 2018.

OpCapital is a European private equity advisory firm founded in 2006; it focuses on retail, consumer goods and the leisure industry. The funds it manages actively invest in companies with potential to improve productivity in order to achieve long-term sustainable value.

TDR Capital is a European private equity firm that was founded in 2002 and manages fund with fixed capital of over EUR 8 billion. TDR Capital has an extensive track record with investments in all of Western Europe.
