P+P advises management of Bosal ACPS on sale of ACPS division to TowerBrook Capital

The Bosal Group, one of the leading international manufacturers of exhaust systems, catalytic converters and tow bar equipment for the automobile industry, has sold its ACPS division (automotive carrier and protection systems) to the investment firm TowerBrook Capital Partners L.P. The execution of the transaction occurred at the end of April 2018.

Bosal ACPS, the leading manufacturer of tow bars for original equipment manufacturers and suppliers (OEM/OES), as well as for the European aftermarket, is headquartered in Markgröningen, Baden-Württemberg. The company has additional production facilities in Hungary, Mexico, France and Russia. The sale of ACPS is part of a series of strategies measures on the part of the Bosal Group, which have been taking place since 2017.

The new owner, TowerBrook Capital Partners, L.P., is an American private equity firm headquartered in New York City, with offices in London, Madrid and Munich. TowerBrook invests in large and mid-size companies in the European and North American markets.
