P+P advises Körber on the sale of Winkler + Dünnebier
The Körber AG has sold Winkler + Dünnebier GmbH (W+D), a recognized leader in integrated mail, folded tissue and hygiene system solutions, to Barry-Wehmiller Companies, Inc. The purchase price was not disclosed. The transaction still requires the approval of the relevant antitrust authorities.
Körber AG, headquartered in Hamburg, is a strategic management holding company that oversees the group comprised of seven business areas: automation, logistics systems, machine tools, pharmaceutical systems, tissue, tobacco and corporate ventures. With approximately 12,000 employees around the world, the Körber AG generated revenues of over EUR 2.3 billion in 2014.
Barry-Wehmiller, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, provides manufacturing technologies and services for a variety of industries. With approximately 8,500 employees worldwide, Barry-Wehmiller most recently achieved a turnover of around UDS 2 billion.
