P+P advises ESR Labs on sale of the company to Accenture
ESR is a Munich-based specialist for embedded software solutions for leading German automobile manufacturers and suppliers. The company will now be a part of the business division Accenture Industry X.0. Along with Accenture subsidiaries designaffairs (design consulting) and Zielpuls (technology consulting) – P+P also advised the sellers on these acquisitions – ESR Labs will develop software and mobility services for automobile manufacturers, as well as intelligent network solutions for medical technology, mechanical engineering and high-tech companies.
ESR Labs was founded in 2012 and currently employs approximately 140 people in four locations in Bavaria. ESR Labs specializes in developing embedded software that regulates the electronics and the network of all electronic functions in automobiles. In addition, ESR provides solutions for remotely updating (over-the-air) software in the automobile, helps customers develop networked auto and mobility services (e.g., car sharing) and researches new technologies for self-driving.
Accenture is a worldwide leading service provider with approximately 505,000 employees and customers in over 120 countries; it offers a broad portfolio of services and solutions for strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations. This acquisition expands Accenture's offering for customers in the automobile industry to generate more value for its customers and partners with new services.
