The Federal Cartel Office has already approved the transaction.
The medical technology manufacturer Contract Medical International GmbH (CMI), based in Dresden, and its subsidiary Contract Medical International, spol. s.r.o. in the Czech Republic specialize in the development and custom manufacturing of minimally invasive medical device systems for cardiological, cardiovascular, endoscopic, neurosurgical, gastrointestinal and respiratory applications. They also advise on the entire approval process for medical devices.
Heraeus Holding GmbH, based in Hanau (Hessen), was founded in 1851 and is one of the world's leading technology groups. The family-owned company generated total sales of EUR 20.3 billion in 2018 and employs around 15,000 people in 40 countries. The portfolio ranges from components to coordinated material systems for the steel, electronics, chemical, automotive and telecommunications industries.
