P+P advises CEO of Wemas on the acquisition of the company by investor Gimv

The financial investor Gimv acquired a majority stake in Wemas Absperrtechnik GmbH from the investment company Nord Holding. CEO Markus Schwinn and the management will retain the remaining shares. P+P advised the CEO on the transaction.

Wemas is a leading provider of street barrier technology. The company develops and manufactures traffic technology products such as protective barriers, delineators, base plates, warning lamps and and traffic cones. The products are sold exclusively to major customers and retailers. Wemas, headquartered in Gütersloh, currently employs approx. 130 people.

Investment company Nord Holding acquired Wemas in 2011 as part of a management buyout from the company founder Siegfried Kwasny. The new owner Gimv is an investment company headquartered in Antwerp.
