POELLATH advises Reckendrees Bauelemente GmbH on sale to the EGE Group

The EGE Group (“EGE”), specializing in the production of high-quality windows and doors, has acquired Reckendrees Bauelemente GmbH (“Reckendrees”), a manufacturer of window and door systems made of plastic and aluminum. As part of the EGE Group, in the future Reckendrees will operate as an independent company within the Group, as well as operating in the market as supplier of a full range of products. POELLATH provided comprehensive legal advice to Reckendrees in connection with the sale.

Reckendrees Bauelemente GmbH, founded in 1978 by Heinrich Reckendrees and based in Verl (North Rhine-Westphalia), is a manufacturer of plastic and aluminum window and door systems. The company employs around 100 people at its site between Bielefeld and Gütersloh. Every year, around 80,000 window units and more than 2,500 high-quality entrance door systems are manufactured on two production lines, delivered and professionally installed by trained specialist partners.

The EGE Group employs around 400 people at three locations in Germany. With the acquisition of Reckendrees, the Group will have approx. 800 employees and generate annual sales of more than EUR 150 million at 5 domestic and 2 foreign production sites and the project companies.
