POELLATH advises management nox NachtExpress on sale to Groupe Sterne
Nox resulted from Innight Express’ acquisition of TNT Innight and was acquired in 2016 by SSVP III, a private equity fund advised by Orlando.
The company is a leading European provider of overnight express services with a market presence in Germany, Austria and the Benelux countries. The company operates more than 20 depots across Germany, employs around 1,000 people and generated revenues of more than 280 million euros.
With more than 2,100 employees and a total of over 80 depots in France, Germany, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands, the newly created group offers a wide range of services to more than 6,000 shippers. Every day, 3,000 delivery runs supply more than 100,000 recipient customers in the newly created network.
Founded in 1972, Groupe Sterne says it has established itself as a major European player in sustainable transport and premium multi-service logistics. Today, they are active in France and beyond, in Europe and Asia, and also have a network of international partners. In addition to its established transport and overnight express services, the group has developed three complementary service solutions to better serve its customers (Time-Critical, Urban and Day Express in the aftersales market). It also has a first-class digital platform. In 2021, Groupe Sterne generated revenues of EUR 270 million.
