POELLATH advises Main Capital Partners and management on sale of GBTEC Group to Carlyle
Funds advised by Main Capital Partners (“Main Capital”) have sold their majority stake in GBTEC Group (“GBTEC”), a specialist for intelligent process and GRC automation, to the global investment firm Carlyle. Company founder and CEO Gregor Greinke remains the largest individual private shareholder and CEO of GBTEC. Co-founder Marc-Oliver Stromberg and the extended GBTEC management team will also retain significant stakes in the company. Together with GBTEC, Carlyle will continue to drive the company’s international expansion through investments in internationalization, sales & marketing and product innovation. POELLATH advised Main Capital and the management of GBTEC Group on the tax aspects of the sale.
Bochum-based GBTEC is a leading provider of SaaS software in the market segments intelligent Business Process Management (iBPM), digital process automation (DPA) and process governance, risk and compliance (GRC).
