POELLATH advises LifeFit Group on acquisition of Body Culture Group
The fitness and health platform LifeFit Group (“LifeFit”) is expanding its network by acquiring the Body Culture Group, which operates 15 fitness studios in Frankfurt am Main and the surrounding area. All 15 studios and their approximately 30,000 active members, representing the Body Culture, Fitnessfabrik, Amanusa and Intenso brands, will be integrated into the Fitness First Group. Fitness First is one of the many LifeFit brands, which also includes Elbgym, Club Pilates and YogaSix. POELLATH provided comprehensive legal and tax advice to LifeFit in connection with the acquisition.
The LifeFit Group, based in Frankfurt am Main and recently acquired by private equity investor Waterland, is a leading fitness and health platform in Germany that consolidates several fitness brands from the boutique, premium and full-service best-price segments. The company is now one of the ten largest fitness chains in Germany.
