POELLATH advises JOST on EUR 15 million financing round in Trailer Dynamics

JOST-Werke Deutschland GmbH (“JOST”) is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of systems that are critical for safety in the commercial vehicle industry with the core brands JOST, ROCKINGER, TRIDEC and Quicke. With sales and manufacturing facilities in over 25 countries on six continents, JOST serves global manufacturers, dealers and end customers in the transportation, agricultural and construction industries. Trailer Dynamics GmbH, based in Eschweiler, is a technology innovator that has developed a comprehensive solution to reduce the diesel consumption of diesel tractors or to increase the range of battery electric tractors (BEV) by installing an additional, functionally reliable electric drivetrain in the e-trailer. The core of this development is an electric drivetrain that is transferred to the trailer and makes it possible to integrate the e-trailer with any tractor unit. If all electrical resources are not required for the above-mentioned tasks, the electric drive permanently supports the diesel drive of the tractor unit with the remaining energy over the entire distance.

The e-trailer’s electric auxiliary drive significantly reduces CO2 emissions from diesel tractors and increases the range of BEVs by dynamically adapting to the load weight and route topography. This dual approach offers a versatile solution for more eco-friendly transportation that aligns with global sustainability goals.
