POELLATH advises Continental’s corporate venture capital unit on a Series A financing round in TriLite totaling EUR 20 million
Two strategic investors invested in this round: Continental’s corporate venture capital unit and an unnamed global electronics supplier. Existing financial investors APEX Ventures, B&C Innovation Investments and TEC Ventures also participated in this round.
TriLite, headquartered in Austria with an office in the United States, claims to design and build the world’s smallest projection displays with Trixel® 3. The startup’s goal is to enable everyone to enjoy augmented vision as lightweight as today’s eyewear. TriLite’s display solutions are based on proprietary multi-parameter algorithms and use machine learning algorithms to create laser beam scanners. The Trixel® 3 projector promises unprecedented image performance and brightness in an ultra-compact display. The display is intended to enable original equipment manufacturers (ODMs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to develop AR smart glasses for consumers, as well as applications for driver information and passenger comfort in automobiles.
