POELLATH advises CommerzVentures on financing round in lemon.markets
lemon.markets has successfully completed a EUR 12 million financing round. The round was led by Commerzventures. Heliad and existing investors, including Creandum, Lakestar, Lightspeed and System.one, also participated.
The Berlin-based company was founded in 2020 and offers a digital brokerage and custody infrastructure as a brokerage-as-a-service platform that enables any company to offer investment solutions. In January 2024, lemon.markets received extensive permissions from BaFin as a securities institution. This authorises the company to provide investment and contract brokerage, investment advice, financial portfolio management, financial commission business, proprietary trading and custody business. With the capital raised, the company intends to integrate new partners and products into its platform and move closer to its goal of creating the basis for 100 million brokerage accounts.
CommerzVentures is funded by Commerzbank AG. The renowned fintech investor invests in start-ups in the FinTech and InsurTech sectors in Europe, Israel and the USA.
