On May 29, 2015, the weekly economics magazine, Wirtschaftswoche, published a list of the top 25 law firms for tax law. Munich P+P partner Michael Best is included in this top ranking.

The selection procedure comprised three rounds: in the first, 79 firms and 300 attorneys were chosen; in the second round, 21 experts from leading firms made their selections (rankings of their own firms and/or themselves were excluded); in the third and final round, an independent jury ranked the 45 firms with lawyers included in the well above-average rankings, based on the following criteria: success, experience, specialization and strength of the teams. The 25 firms with the most points were listed in the above-mentioned article.
