Simply. Well. Done. 20 Years of P+P Pöllath + Partners
Since its inception, P+P has focused on a select number of core practice areas. The transactional practice on one side, and comprehensive advice to private clients, family companies and family offices on the other, form the DNA of the firm.
In its private equity practice, P+P successfully attends to its clients needs throughout the entire process of creating value: from the development of national and international fund structures to inbound and outbound investments, as well as advice on buyouts – always accompanied by specific tax law expertise in every phase. In our core practice areas, we are currently among the top firms in national and international rankings. The renowned American publication, Best Lawyers, recently selected Pöllath to be "Law Firm of the Year 2018" for private equity. P+P has also been nominated "Firm of the Year for Tax Law" for the JUVE Awards to be presented at the end of October.
P+P is different from some of its competitors in that it has continually expanded without any mergers and has developed itself organically and independently. The firm has thereby established itself as a significant player and an attractive employer within the realm of commercial law firms.
In the firm's 20 years of history – during which time the firm has long since come of age – many of P+P's original concepts and values are still being very successfully upheld to this day. The emphasis on the personal and economic freedom of the individual in the exercise of his profession, the constant support of dedication and the entrepreneurial spirit, as well as the broad education and training offered to our employees in both professional and non-professional domains – these factors all make the firm unique as compared to many of our competitors.
An attractive compensation system, flexible work schedules, flat hierarchies, many opportunities for active participation and codetermination on the part of the employees and many additional offerings, such as all-inclusive meals for the colleagues in all of our offices – these are the basis for a high level of employee satisfaction. In the yearly ranking of legal employers in Germany according to the editors of azur, P+P reinforced its position in the Top 20 at number 12 (2016) and 15 (2017).
Finally, P+P's creation of its own value is not the only priority, but also the firm's traditionally strong and growing support of many aid projects and its pro bono work. Partners and friends of the firm have founded and continually support charitable foundations such as the Max-Planck Foundation, as well as the foundations Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe and Ex Oriente. The employees of the foundations work on a pro bono basis, utilizing P+P's offices, resources and infrastructure, supported by the economic and legal expertise of the firm.
At 20, one looks ahead optimistically to the future with great enthusiasm for action. That's how it is at P+P.
