P+P Pöllath + Partners: Grand Opening of the new Frankfurt Office

P+P Pöllath + Partners inaugurated their new Frankfurt offices with select thematic workshops and a festive evening reception. P+P welcomed more than 300 guests – clients, academics, businessmen, bankers, fund managers and investors, as well as colleagues from other law firms – to the firm's new location on this occasion.

Since P+P's offices in Hauptwache were no longer large enough to accommodate the firm's continued growth, we moved to our new offices in the "Frankfurter Welle" in February of this year.

The celebrations began in the afternoon with three specialized presentations. In the workshop "Negotiating with Venture Capital Investors", Christine Funk presented the typical elements of VC investment agreements and illustrated the classic chain of events, from the initial investment up to an exit. In another workshop, Frankfurt partner Pia Dorfmueller discussed "US Tax Highlights 2016". Finally, Patricia Volhard, Andreas Rodin and new partner Peter Bujotzek presented a workshop on the current developments in alternative investment funds.

Founding partner Prof. Dr. Reinhard Pöllath and Frankfurt financier Friedrich von Metzler opened the festive evening reception. In their keynote speech "Dem Wahren Schönen Guten: an Alter Oper und in Max-Planck-Instituten (Truth Beauty Goodness: at the Alte Oper and in the Max-Planck Institutes)", they addressed the need for sustained civic commitment. As long-term board members of the Max Planck Foundation and the Max Planck Institute, they are both engaged in the ongoing support of scholarship and research in Germany and abroad. P+P Pöllath + Partners supports various associations and foundations, both with financial support and by providing infrastructure and contacts.

After Munich and Berlin, Frankfurt is the youngest of the firm's three offices – it has continued to expand since its opening in 1999. The Frankfurt partners and associates focus primarily on private funds, private equity / M&A and tax advice.
