P+P expands private equity funds practice with a focus on digitalization of tax compliance

André Fest (40), former managing director of CAM Alternatives GmbH, joined P+P Pöllath + Partners as counsel at the beginning of this year. As a tax advisor with many years of experience in tax financial services and finance for private equity funds, he will especially accelerate the standardization and digitalization of tax compliance for private equity funds.

As the managing director of CAM Alternatives GmbH, previously DB Private Equity GmbH as fund of funds manager for the Deutsche Bank Group, Mr. Fest was responsible for the fund finance division. He primarily worked on fund management and fund reporting, tax compliance, as well as auditing and valuation of fund of funds companies. Formerly, he worked for almost 10 years at PwC, most recently as senior manager, in tax financial services at the Munich office. He focused on tax advice for domestic and foreign closed-end funds and their investors; his education in commercial law was the basis for this work. He gained his first professional experiences as a banking clerk, and later as a certified banking officer, in financial advisor and finance coach positions.

P+P Pöllath + Partners already has a focused practice of ongoing advice for private equity funds, in order to further ensure the comprehensive support for private equity funds in combination with fund structuring and the tax-related and legal supervision of fund investments. Mr. Fest will continue to grow this practice and thereby focus particularly on the technological development of financial services; an important component for P+P's ongoing expansion and the efficient supervision of its clients in this area.
