Infrastructure ratio - new ruling creates attractive investment opportunities for pension funds

In spring 2021, the Ministry of Finance of North Rhine-Westphalia announced the “Decree on the Introduction of an Infrastructure Quota” (Erlass zur Einführung einer Infrastrukturquote), thus creating more flexibility for pension funds in their capital investments. The independent infrastructure quota of 5% offers attractive opportunities for pension funds based in NRW.
