Dr. Sebastian Käpplinger (†05.08.2021)

POELLATH mourns the loss of Frankfurt-based fund partner Dr. Sebastian Käpplinger, who passed away on August 5 after a serious illness. We have lost a much-valued colleague and friend much too soon.

Sebastian Käpplinger started as a research assistant at P+P Pöllath + Partners and spent the majority of his professional career at our firm. Since the beginning of 2019, he was a partner in the funds department, first in Berlin and later in Frankfurt, playing a key role in establishing and expanding the department and also the Frankfurt office. With his high level of professional excellence, particularly in the field of regulatory law, he was very important to the firm. As a speaker at numerous events, such as MUPET and the Frankfurt Funds Forum, he updated colleagues both within and outside our firm on current issues in the funds industry.

Within the POELLATH team, as well as by his clients, he was appreciated for his clear, calm and modest manner. We will miss him very much and dedicate our thoughts and sympathies to his loved ones, especially his wife, brother and the rest of his family.
